Behind The Scoops

Hi from our ice cream loving household!

We are both born and raised in the Eagle River area, and have always shared a deep love for our hometown and community. With a passion for quality, friendly service, and of course — ice cream — we turned a sweet idea into Yort’s Sips & Scoops.

It all started when our ice cream budget was getting a little out of hand, and we figured, why not buy the whole trailer? Now, we are jumping into our first summer serving up Wisconsin-made custard, Cedar Crest hand-scooped ice cream, shakes, lemonades, and more at local events, family gatherings, and celebrations.

When we’re not behind the counter, we’re busy keeping up with life as we both have full time employment and a busy household that includes two cats, five fish, two geese, two ducks, four chickens — and who knows what’s next.

Our Favorites:

• Megan’s favorite treat is a gluten-free mint Oreo concrete mixer.

• Troy’s a classic custard guy (he likes to call himself a connoisseur).

• 7-year-old Mason’s favorite changes just about every day.

For us, this business is about more than just ice cream. It’s about sharing simple joys, connecting with our community, and being part of the memories being made!
